Phew! I'm, all partied out. The only thing keeping me going now is the sugar high I'm on. If it wasn't for that I think I'd be curled up in a little heap, fast asleep. We had my daughter's 4th birthday party in our back yard yesterday afternoon.
Can you tell she loves Dora?
And today, was her friend's birthday party. Her parents are very clever - they had a gymnastics party - lots of fun and it exhausted the kids.
In knitting news, I've finished the socks for hubby's birthday. Thick hiking socks were on the menu and, thanks to many of your advice, I made simple 2x2 rib socks. They turned out pretty good, I have to say.
And, I've stolen a few hours to continue on my shawl. I love this pattern. YarnHarlot, if you are out there and reading this, I adore your pattern. It's fun and keeps me on my toes.
Now I'm off to report my progress to The Barefoot Cobbler - our Shawl KAL Summer 2007 leader...

I love the shawl. That pattern is definitely going in my queue. The color you chose is lovely, too. Hope you are rested from your partying weekend. Ah, those were the days.

Yay for sugar highs!! Looks like quite a bash.
Every time I see that shawl, I love the yarn a little more. Must be fun to knit!

The socks came out great! He's going to love them!
You have made some good progress on the shawl. I tried to work on mine this weekend but it was too hot to have it in my lap.

Snowdrop shawl is looking beautiful - you are so brave, I've knitted a more than a few lace shawls and stoles but am afraid to tackle that one. Is it easier than it looks?

The choice of yarn on your snowdrop shawl really sets off the pattern. It really is going well.
BYW, the party looks like your daughter had such fun.
