Shawl Glory
We're back from our vacation at the cabin. Weather was wonderful and it was super relaxing. Now all I need is the telephone line, so I can check out your knitting blogs more regularly and an antenna for the TV and it'll be home from home.
And boy have I been knitting. First, I finished the shawl, but I haven't blocked it yet. Blocking this delicate shriveled up mass of lace is rather daunting so I will do it in my own time. Hopefully soon.
In the meantime, I have worked the back and the two front panels of the cardigan for my niece. They don't look very exciting, just pink st st pieces, so I didn't think you'd be too interested in seeing those.
My biggest accomplishment is the shawl for my mother. It was really frustrating getting it going, frogged about four times before I got it right, but now I'm truly on my way.
It's a rectangular shawl with buttons down the lower fronts, so that she can also wear it as a poncho. And, unlike the last project I "made up", I'm writing down the instructions this time. So, if you want the pattern, let me know and I'll e-mail it to you.
